What temperatures can praying mantis survive?

Praying mantises are sensitive to cold. Most species cannot survive freezing temperatures and will die when winter arrives. They thrive in temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Some species can tolerate brief dips to 50°F (10°C), but prolonged exposure below 60°F (15°C) is generally lethal.
