What is a single leg dumbbell scaption?
A single leg dumbbell scaption is a shoulder exercise performed while standing on one leg, using a dumbbell. The arm is raised forward and out to the side in the scapular plane (about 30-45 degrees from the front) to shoulder height. This movement strengthens the deltoids and supraspinatus, promoting shoulder stability. The single-leg stance also challenges balance and core engagement.
