Do i need rtv sealant for valve cover gasket?

Generally, no RTV sealant is needed for a valve cover gasket. Modern gaskets are designed to seal effectively on their own. Using RTV can sometimes cause more problems, like interfering with the gasket's proper seating or breaking off and clogging oil passages.
